Anna Jeffreys
Anna Jeffreys serves as the Library Media Specialist at Tharptown Elementary School. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of North Alabama and a Master’s degree in Library Media from the University of West Alabama.
Mrs. Jeffreys teaches library and research skills, promotes literacy, and collaborates with classroom teachers to support learning across the curriculum. She is committed to creating a welcoming and engaging library environment where students can explore new ideas and develop a love of reading.
She is especially passionate about helping students grow into confident readers, critical thinkers, and lifelong learners.
At our school library, we strive to create a welcoming and engaging environment that fosters a love for reading and lifelong learning. Below are our policies and guidelines to ensure all students have a positive experience:
Book Check-Out Policy:

Kindergarten: Instead of individual check-outs, kindergarten students enjoy a curated tub of books to preview in their classroom each week.

1st–5th Grade: Students may check out one book at a time, which is due back on their designated library day each week.

6th Grade: Students are permitted to check out up to two books at a time.
Late Fines and Lost/Damaged Books:

Late Fines: Our library does not charge late fines to encourage students to check out books and enjoy them at their own pace.

Lost or Damaged Books: If a book is lost or damaged beyond repair, we kindly ask that it be paid for to ensure we can continue to provide quality materials for all students.
